Robotics Coding

At Büyükçekmece Akademi Private Schools, the Information Technologies and Software course aims to equip students with essential skills to thrive in the digital age and adapt to rapidly evolving technologies. These key objectives include:

  • Understanding and using information technologies and tools efficiently and effectively;

  • Accessing and interpreting information quickly;

  • Becoming computer literate;

  • Gaining awareness in digital ethics, digital safety, and digital citizenship;

  • Developing analytical thinking, problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills.

In this context, our school emphasizes the importance of software and coding education at every level. Our goal is to raise awareness among students and transform effective problem-solving into a practical skill through the learning outcomes of our Information Technologies curriculum.

In our classes, we use age-appropriate programming methods to introduce young students to coding in an engaging and enjoyable way. Lessons include simple activities and games that help students understand the steps needed to solve problems using a computer. They also learn to use the keyboard and mouse effectively, practicing direction, decision-making, and logical sequencing.

For 6th and 7th grade students, Arduino programming and robotics systems are taught as part of extracurricular coding clubs. Middle and high school students can continue their Arduino training after school hours, working on innovative projects and preparing for competitions held throughout the year.
