Foreign Language Education
ENGLISH
At our school, we have developed a program in foreign language classes that equips students with various language skills essential for their future education and professional lives.
With both our Turkish and native-speaking foreign language teachers, we offer a classroom environment based on modern teaching methods and differentiated education models that consider individual differences. Our aim is to create meaningful, effective lessons that engage students and help them develop a love for the foreign language they are learning.
As the Foreign Languages Department, our goal is to teach foreign languages through experiential learning, primarily using project-based and inquiry-based learning models. By integrating technology and language learning, we guide our students to explore and inquire about the language using carefully selected resources, methods, and techniques. This multifaceted approach broadens students’ knowledge and enriches their general culture. Content-focused research activities also ignite curiosity and help students develop into independent researchers.
SECOND FOREIGN LANGUAGE
German is offered as the second foreign language at our school. Our primary aim is to help students develop listening, reading, comprehension, speaking, and writing skills. Students learn by doing, experimenting, and actively participating in the learning process. They acquire the necessary vocabulary and sentence structures to express themselves simply in the new language.
Another important goal is to help students become familiar with a new culture. Learning a new language is increasingly vital for our students to become active citizens in a rapidly evolving world.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE ACTIVITIES
Our Foreign Languages Department organizes events such as MUN (Model United Nations Club), Quiz Show, TED Academy, and World Culture Days every academic year.
