Book Festivals

Our school organizes a book festival every year as an extension of the Read Book-Review activity.
Departments determine the date of this festival at the beginning of the academic year. The festival takes place in the second semester, usually in April.
The festival lasts at least two days and at most four days.
Festival posters are hung in specific areas of the school; the festival is also announced on the school’s website.
Tents are set up in the school’s ceremony area for the festival. Publishers set up their stands in this area.
Parents are also invited to the festival.
During the festival, books taught during the academic year are presented by students. Presentations are held in the conference hall or pocket cinema. Other classes, teachers, parents, and the author of the presented book (if possible) are invited to these presentations.
One class period is allocated for each grade level’s book presentation. Classes in the same grade level do not make separate book presentations; students from different classes in the same grade level are selected for one book’s presentation.
Students selected for book presentations gather among themselves, make plans and divide tasks. Subject teachers only guide the students.
If the selected book is suitable, dramatization activities can also be performed during book presentations.
In the book review section, subject teachers are more active and our teachers provide guidance. Our parents and teachers who come as guests can also participate in this question-and-answer format section.
